Tanya & Dylan September 2014

We were very pleased to be asked to be a part of Tanya and Dylan's wedding, which took place in Northern Saskatchewan lake country.

The following photos provides a glimpse of their special day with all photo credits to
"Saskatoon in Bloom Photography."

Dylan's bout, poppy pod, globe thistle, yarrow, juncus grass and dusty miller, wrapped with twine.

Tanya and Dylan wanted to include bright summery flowers in their wedding day.
They drove out to the farm in August and toured the gardens picking out the flowers they wanted to include.  It was such a pleasure showing them around the farm.  It really is a unique experience choosing flowers from the gardens, that will be a part of such an important event in your life.

The flowers they chose worked beautifully.

All of the bouquets.

Tanya's bouquet.
Sunflower, grasses, bells of ireland, snapdragons, globe thistle, poppy pods, feverfew, scabiosa and dahlias.

The bridesmaids bouquet.
Love the dress colour.

Another view of Tanya's bouquet.

The table flowers in buckets ready to be arranged.  Lots of bright colours.

Tanya and Dylan had the table flowers arranged on site.  They look fantastic.

Such a beautiful setting.

Love the grasses along with the birch.

I received a lovely e-mail from Tanya the week after the wedding.
"I want to send a little note to say how grateful I am for the flowers.  Many people said they were the nicest flowers they'd ever seen at a wedding.  The bouquets were breathtaking.  Thank you for putting together such great arrangements and for helping us out with everything.  I'm so glad we had you as part of our day."

September Wedding

The rich colours of autumn.
The bride and groom really wanted to use locally grown flowers for their wedding and had originally planned the wedding date much later in September.  When they realized the likelihood of not having frost before their wedding day, they decided to adjust the date to earlier in September.  Even the second week in September is pushing the limits of frost, but the first part of September was warm and all worked out great.
Heather really liked the rich burgundy's and oranges.

The grooms bout consisted of Gomphrena, Bottlebrush, Sage and Frosted Explosion grass.

Heather chose Dahlias as the focal flower for her bouquet along with Bottlebrush, Sage and Frosted Explosion.

The white Dahlias and Sage soften the colours.

The bridesmaids bouquets were smaller with Dahlias, Sage, Bottlebrush, Cherry Brandy Rudbeckia and Frosted Explosion grass.

We enjoyed touring the gardens with Heather and her family.

September Wedding

I hope you will enjoy these summery pictures of Amanda & Deanna's wedding that took place September 2013.  We thoroughly enjoyed creating the bright colourful arrangements for them.

Amanda and Deanna drove out to the farm a week before their wedding and we took a tour of all the gardens, checking out the different flowers and colours.  It really is a unique experience to walk through gardens and choose the flowers to be used on your wedding day.  They were both drawn to the bold bright colours of late summer, orange, burgundy, and deep pink.

Beautiful!

They chose Dahlias as their focal flowers and we used Scabiosa, Black Knight Queen Annes Lace, Zinnias and Ageratum as the secondary and fillers.

The Bridesmaids bouquets included Rudbeckia, Dianthus, Celosia, Zinnia, couple of Dahlias, Ageratum, Black Knight, and Bachelor buttons.

Amanda fell in love with the blue Bachelor Buttons so we used several stems of those in her bouquet and included at least one or two in Deanna's.

The photographer, Amanda Smith, captured the fun everyone was having.
Congratulations Deanna and Amanda.  Thank you for choosing us to be a part of your fabulous day.
